Job summary

Adolescent Wellness Academy is seeking a Lead Mental Health Technician to supervise and support a team serving adolescents in a PHP/IOP program. You will lead structured groups, coordinate daily operations, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for clients and families.

The role requires 2+ years in behavioral health, bilingual fluency in English/Spanish, and strong admin skills to balance office duties with program activities. On-site posting in Davie, FL, with regular daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in behavioral health, youth services, or related fields.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Comfortable facilitating structured groups for adolescents.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to balance client-facing responsibilities with program coordination.
• Calm, professional, and emotionally regulated under pressure.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Eligible for required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, schedule, and support the MHT team.
• Coordinate daily assignments, program coverage, client movement, and staff communication.
• Facilitate psychoeducational, life-skills, and recreational groups.
• Support client intakes, assessments, drug testing, groups, and psychiatric appointments.
• Document participation, concerns, and significant events accurately.
