Job summary

Adolescent Wellness Academy provides PHP and IOP behavioral health treatment for adolescents aged 13-17 and their families across South Florida.

Lead the Mental Health Technician team, supervising staff and coordinating daily schedules in a hands-on, on-site setting in Davie, FL. Fluency in English and Spanish is required for this bilingual leadership role.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of behavioral health or mental health experience.
• Leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong documentation and incident-reporting skills.
• Calm, professional, and emotionally regulated under pressure.
• Eligible for DCF and AHCA Level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support the Mental Health Technician team.
• Coordinate daily schedules, assignments, and program coverage.
• Support client intakes, assessments, drug testing, groups, and psychiatric appointments.
• Observe client behavior and document concerns accurately.
• Provide emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and redirection techniques.
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical leadership.
• Complete incident reports and required documentation.
• Maintain facility safety, cleanliness, and Environment of Care compliance.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately.

About the Role

Lead the Mental Health Technician team supporting adolescents ages 13-17 in a PHP/IOP behavioral health program. This hands-on role combines team supervision, client support, crisis de-escalation, documentation, and daily program coordination.

Relevant experience: Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Youth Services, Case Management, Education, Team Leadership

What You'll Do
