Job summary

JTB Hawaii Travel, LLC is seeking an Associate in the Customer Service Division to support both Japanese and non-Japanese clients with tour reservations and itinerary finalization. You will provide informed recommendations on dining, shopping, and tours and coordinate look-ahead plans for group arrivals.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year in the travel industry, with fluency in English and Japanese, strong customer service skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Japanese.
• Possess knowledge of the tour industry, tour movements, and arrangements; understand Japanese culture and etiquette.
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional quality customer service; briefing Japanese and non-Japanese clients with tour reservations, and adjust and finalize itineraries.
• Sell and book optional tours and other merchandise.
• Balance and close daily cash and credit card sales; handle deposits, verify cash on hand.
• Prepare documents for arrival/departure and in-house tours; review rooming lists and ensure special requests.
• Resolve customer concerns and issues and assist with emergency situations.
• Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
