Job summary

Helping U Homecare in Manhattan is seeking a full-time bilingual Intake Specialist to join our team. You will educate patients about MLTC, MAP, and PACE, process referrals, and support reimbursement workflows in a busy office.

This in-office role runs Monday–Friday with opportunities for growth. Candidates should be fluent in English and Spanish, have at least 1 year of home care experience, and be proficient with HHA Exchange and multiple software systems.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience using HHA Exchange software required.
• Experience navigating multiple software systems.
• Proficient in customer service, communication, and follow-up.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Minimum of 1 year of home care experience required.
• Experience verifying health insurances.
• Familiarity with PDN and/or NHTD/TBI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact and educate patients about MLTC, MAP and PACE plans.
• Process patient referrals with demographics, clinical docs, and reimbursement data.
• Verify eligibility and benefits for Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and Managed Care plans.
• Coordinate with Managed Care to confirm home care coverage and initial authorizations.
• Assist with re-enrollment, recertification, authorization and vendor changes.
• Enter information into internal systems to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Maintain patient documents and clinical records in systems.
• Report to the Director of Business Development and Intake.
