Job summary

Trident United Way in Charleston is seeking an Intake Resource Specialist to warmly greet clients, collect basic intake information, and connect people with the appropriate resources. You will support Family Coaches and center staff by coordinating inquiries and maintaining smooth intake workflows.

This part-time role runs Monday through Thursday, 8:30am–4:00pm, with a $24.00 per hour wage. Strong communication, organization, and willingness to learn CharityTracker are valued assets for serving

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of receptionist, administrative, or high-volume customer service experience.
• Experience with the public and handling confidential information preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing client or operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct all clients, guests, and community partners with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
• Provide an overview of services and explain basic procedures to access support.
• Monitor the front entrance for safety, security, and efficient guest flow.
• Answer and screen incoming calls, routing inquiries appropriately.
• Assist clients with navigating the facility, computer lab, or resource materials.
• Input basic client information into CharityTracker as needed for Family Coaches.
• Record daily client traffic, track appointment attendance, and log referral reasons.
• Support scheduling and calendar management for intake appointments and partner visits.
• Receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
• Maintain front desk, lobby, and office supply inventory.
• Coordinate administrative tasks such as data entry and information distribution.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for self-service stations.
• Prepare flyers, sign-in sheets, and logistics for events.
• Welcome and check in community partners; assist with event setup.
