Job summary

World Relief is expanding its Illinois program and seeks an Intake Specialist to serve refugees and immigrants, conducting intake, determining eligibility, and connecting clients to services. The role supports public benefits applications, renewals, and case management in collaboration with IDHS to ensure timely access to benefits.

This limited-term position runs through 5/31/2026, contingent on funding, with a focus on client advocacy, documentation, and coordinated service delivery.

Qualifications

• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake and eligibility screening for refugee and immigrant services.
• Assist with applications, renewals, and case maintenance for public benefits.
• Provide culturally appropriate case management and advocacy for benefits access.
• Coordinate with IDHS and partners to resolve issues and ensure timely service delivery.
• Maintain accurate client records and reports per grant and IDHS requirements.
• Collaborate with teams and volunteers to coordinate referrals and services.
