Job summary

Johnston County DSS is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker II for the Call Center. The role interviews applicants for Food and Nutrition, Adult Medicaid and Family & Children's Medicaid and processes eligibility using the NC FAST system.

Qualifications include experience in income maintenance and strong communication skills. Preference given to bilingual Spanish speakers. The position involves data entry, verification, and client interaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients applying for or recertifying Food and Nutrition, Adult Medicaid and Family & Children's Medicaid.
• Enter information into NC FAST and complete third party verification.
• Determine initial eligibility and changes in eligibility as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, agency personnel, and the public by phone.
