The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC in Orange County is seeking a 2nd-step Case Assistant to support the Immigration Department with administrative and clerical duties, filing, scanning, and preparing documents for new contracts. You will work under the supervision of the Immigration Attorney.

This role emphasizes meticulous record keeping, client communication to relay attorney recommendations, and collaboration within a team to ensure timely document preparation and case progression.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Immigration experience.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, edit, sort/filter and save spreadsheets.
• 1+ years of office experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to ensure the preparation of documents.
• Organizing, distributing, or tracking documents according to departmental procedures
• Provide mail to departments and individuals
• Ensure filing, preparation, and scanning of documents and correspondence.
• Keep detailed records of all incoming documents and file accordingly
• Assist with all administrative tasks.
• Reviewing existing cases to identify matters ready to proceed with attorney analysis
• Reviewing internal notes and client documents to prepare notes and summaries for attorney review
• Speaking with clients to explain the attorney's recommendations for the next case steps and to relay the attorney's case analysis
