Job summary

Suzanne Snell seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a high-volume retail store environment in San Francisco, CA. The role requires fluency in English and Chinese and will serve as the primary HR resource for store leadership and staff.

The candidate will manage employee relations, investigations, and performance management, ensuring compliance with Federal, California, and local employment laws. Experience with Workers' Compensation and leave administration is included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in high-volume environments such as retail, supermarkets, restaurants, manufacturing, warehouse.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law, wage and hour regulations, meal/rest break requirements, and leave laws.
• Experience handling employee relations investigations and Workers' Compensation cases.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual English/Chinese PHR-CA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for store leadership and employees
• Manage employee relations, workplace investigations, and performance management

• Support Workers' Compensation claims, leave administration, and return-to-work programs
• Advise managers on corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee matters
