HLS Landscape, a leading commercial landscaping company in the Greater Houston area, is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator in Stafford, Texas. You will support timekeeping, recruitment, onboarding, and HR policy management to keep operations compliant and efficient.

The role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to handle confidential information. You’ll collaborate with supervisors and staff to maintain a positive workplace while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• 2+ years HR or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems (e.g., Paychex).
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee time and attendance records for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Post job openings and manage applicant tracking.
• Screen resumes and schedule interviews.
• Participate in interviews and support candidate selection.
• Prepare and send offer letters and onboarding documents.
• Conduct or coordinate new hire orientation sessions.
• Ensure all new hire paperwork and compliance documents are completed.
• Provide new employees with handbook, policies, and company expectations.
• Coordinate and track employee evaluations and performance review schedules.
• Maintain employee performance files and records.
• Maintain and update the employee handbook as needed.
• Assist with policy communication and implementation.
• Ensure HR practices comply with applicable labor laws and regulations.
• Maintain employee records and digital personnel files.
• Respond to basic HR-related employee questions.
• Assist with internal communications and HR reporting as needed.
