Job summary

Miniat is seeking a dedicated HR Coordinator to support South Chicago Packing employees in Chicago, IL. The role handles onboarding, HR data entry, payroll support, and employee relations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in HR processes.

The position requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, strong organizational skills, and experience with HR systems and Microsoft 365. This is a full-time, hourly role with benefits and compliance duties in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of human resources, employee-service, payroll-support, records-administration, or related experience.
• Administrative experience in a fast-paced office, manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment.
• Bilingual English and Spanish, with clear communication in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and experience entering and maintaining information in business or HR systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information, organize detailed work, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and orientation, including testing, new-hire paperwork, E-Verify, and English/Spanish orientation.
• Serve as first point of contact for routine employee questions and route issues to HR resources.
• Prepare employment verifications, notices, translations, signage, and routine HR correspondence.
• Coordinate HR meetings and engagement events with schedules, rooms, equipment, and refreshments.
