We are seeking a motivated and personable bilingual HR Assistant (Spanish/English) to support a busy Human Resources team across multiple manufacturing facilities. The role is based in Burlington, NC. This role is temp to hire, fully on-site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both administrative work and employee interaction. The HR Assistant will play a key role in onboarding, employee communications, HR administration, and employee engagement initiatives while helping ensure a positive employee experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, comfortable handling confidential information, and eager to learn and grow within Human Resources. This individual will serve as a resource for employees on the production floor while supporting day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes.
- Create employee badges and set up new hires in company systems.
- Monitor and track pre-employment screening progress.
- Communicate with candidates and new hires throughout the onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Schedule monthly town hall meetings and assist with presentation preparation.
- Conduct new hire feedback and listening sessions to gather employee insights.
- Provide administrative support for HR programs, projects, and initiatives.
- Serve as a visible HR presence on the production floor and build positive relationships with employees.
- Respond to employee questions and direct concerns to the appropriate HR team members.
- Support employee engagement activities and company events.
- Assist with process improvements and additional HR-related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration preferred.
- At least 2 years of Human Resources experience, including onboarding, employee relations support, recruiting coordination, benefits administration, or HR administration.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or production environment required.
- Experience supporting large employee populations across multiple locations.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
