Job summary

Compass Family Services is hiring a Case Manager to support families in the rental subsidy program in San Francisco. The role involves visiting families in their homes around the Bay Area, delivering counseling, crisis support and referrals in both Spanish and English as needed.

The position is full-time, 37.5 hours/week, currently scheduled for 2-3 months with potential extension or permanent if available. Compensation is $27–$31 per hour, with a focus on stable housing outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have CA Driver’s License and ability to be approved as a Zipcar driver.
• Experience working with people in crisis is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of issues facing homeless and low-income families.
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship-building with diverse individuals.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with families to foster connection and trust.
• Collaborate with families to set short- and long-term stability goals.
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to Compass and external services.
• Maintain regular contact via office visits, home visits, and calls/texts.
• Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely rent payments and subsidies.
• Maintain accurate client files and enter case notes in Compass Salesforce and ONE System.
