Job summary

Impact NW is seeking a HSN Bilingual Housing Specialist II in Portland, OR to provide intensive, community-based social work services within a Housing First framework. This non-profit role focuses on coordination, advocacy, and ongoing support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, with a strong emphasis on language access and culturally competent engagement.

The position requires bilingual Spanish, 1–3 years in human services, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish is required for this position.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in human services, housing navigation, or case management.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred; equivalent professional or lived experience may be substituted for education requirements.
• Experience with HMIS and agency/funder data systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of program requirements, eligibility, enrollment standards, documentation expectations, and funder definitions.
• Conduct screening, intake, and referral of internal and external requests for service.
• Provide client-centered, trauma-informed engagement, assessment, and ongoing case management using Housing First principles.
• Assist participants with housing search activities, landlord communication, and lease-up processes.
• Coordinate services with healthcare, mental health, addictions, employment, and social services to ensure comprehensive support.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community housing resources and benefits.
