PHC is seeking a Part Time bilingual Call Center Representative at the Administrative Office in Des Moines, IA. The role handles inbound calls, schedules medical, behavioral health, and dental appointments, and routes messages in the electronic health record.

This non-remote position requires English and Spanish communication and a patient, service-oriented approach. Hours are 20 per week; typical schedule is Monday 8 AM - 5 PM, Tuesday–Thursday 1 PM - 5 PM, with Friday off.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare, human services or social services; or 2 years in customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills and commitment to service excellence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Dependable, with initiative and teamwork.
• Strong listening, reading, and instruction-following ability.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Aufgaben

• Answer incoming calls promptly, monitor call queue, de-escalate when needed.
• Schedule appointments for medical, behavioral health, and dental providers and other services.
• Collect, verify, update, and document patient demographics, billing, and insurance data in the EHR.
• Screen and route calls and send detailed messages in the EHR when needed.
• Collect patient payments over the phone.
