National Vision is seeking a front desk Receptionist for an Oak Lawn, IL store. You will greet customers, manage records, and coordinate appointments while delivering friendly service in English and Spanish.

The role supports smooth store operations and patient flow in a fast-paced optical retail environment. The position emphasizes strong organizational skills, multi-line phone handling, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and speaking both English and Spanish.
• Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role preferred but not required.
• 0-2 years related experience or training preferred.
• Experience handling multiple phone lines preferred. Strong customer service skills required.
• Strong organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they arrive at the store.
• Maintain organized patient records and help schedules flow smoothly.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls per company protocol.
• Process and understand managed care plans; obtain necessary information from insurance.
• Provide customers with basic and accurate information.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits and classes.
• File patient records daily and pull files for next-day appointments.
• Check order status and notify customers of delays or readiness.
• Keep reception area tidy with required materials.
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail/deliveries; manage office supplies inventory.
• Attend regularly scheduled communication meetings.
