Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Bilingual Field Interviewers to support the MEPS study, conducting in-person and video interviews in English and Spanish with adult household members. Interviewers travel to households nationwide, set appointments, and collect data with Westat laptops.

This is a part-time, year-round position with two data-collection periods and daily data transmission. Training is mandatory starting January 2027, including a multi-day in-person session and online activities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Able to travel to assigned households and conduct in-person interviews.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Capable of adhering to data security and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person and by phone to gain cooperation.
• Set appointments and conduct interviews using computer-assisted methods.
• Transmit data daily and complete required paperwork.
