Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated individuals to work as Bilingual Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). Responsibilities include conducting in-person and video interviews in English and Spanish, contacting households, arranging appointments, and collecting signed documents using a Westat-provided laptop.

Training in January 2027 and occasional travel are required. The position is part-time per year, with two data collection periods (Jan–Jul and Jul–Dec), and some weeks

Qualifications

• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel to local and long-distance households as needed.
• Ability to complete required training and post-training activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in English and Spanish.
• Contact households, set appointments, complete interviews, and collect signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily and ensure confidentiality and data security.
