Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks part-time Bilingual Field Interviewers for the MEPS study, conducting English/Spanish interviews with adults in a nationally representative sample. In-person and video interviews are performed using a Westat laptop.

Training starts January 2027 with mandatory in-person sessions; travel to local and possibly long-distance households is required, with occasional overnight stays. Data is transmitted daily, and confidentiality is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Experience conducting in-person or video interviews.
• Ability to contact households and schedule/complete interviews.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews in English and Spanish with adult household members.
• Travel to designated areas for interviews, possibly overnight.
• Record data and transmit electronically daily; complete administrative paperwork.
