Public Health Solutions, Inc. seeks a bilingual Family Resource & Support Specialist to provide home-based, culturally competent services for families in Bushwick and neighboring areas.

The role involves facilitating prenatal and parenting information, connecting families with resources, and supporting child development through regular home visits. Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in a related field, bilingual Spanish proficiency, and at least two years of home visiting

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Development, Health, Social Work or related human service field, preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) with strong writing and speaking skills.
• At least two years of experience home visiting and working with low-income, racially and ethnically diverse urban families preferred.
• High level of maturity and experience working with children (0-5 years old) and their families.
• Must have sufficient English and computer skills to document case work.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate prenatal, parenting and health information.
• Promote optimal child development, enhance parent-child relationships, and improve family support system through routine home visits.
• Provide resources, including education, health and support.
• Introduce families to activities in the community such as recreational, educational and cultural activities.
• Engage in weekly, reflective supervision and teamwork.
• Participate in staff trainings and meetings.
• Maintain accurate case records to meet program, state, and federal guidelines.
• Complete all documentation and reports in a timely manner.
• Organize and facilitate parent-child socialization activities.
• Coverage visits when necessary.
• Continuously outreach, recruit, and oversee eligibility and enrollment of families.
• Model strengths-based interactions and help families set goals.
• Work with management to foster a positive work environment and learning.
• Other duties as assigned.
