Job summary

Community Action Organization in Washington County seeks a bilingual Family Resource Navigator to support families with young children (prenatal to age 6). You will be the first contact, conduct assessments, and link families to Help Me Grow and other critical services.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, strong communication, and resource allocation based on assessments; prior eligibility experience is essential, as is a valid Oregon driver's license if required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
• Minimum three years of eligibility determination experience, including phone and face-to-face client intake.
• Experience delivering information and assisting with applications in a trauma-informed manner.
• Intermediate computer skills with Word/Excel/Outlook and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone-based, virtual or face-to-face comprehensive assessments for households in Washington County.
• Connect families to programs like Help Me Grow, Healthy Families, CARE and Find Child Care Oregon.
• Assist with screenings and applications in a professional, trauma-informed way.
• Provide care coordination, education and advocacy on child development and childcare options.
• Enroll individuals in Oregon Health Plan and maintain confidential records.
• Build collaborative relationships with service providers and diverse client populations.
