Job summary

Community Action in Washington County, OR is seeking a Bilingual Family Resource Navigator to support families with young children (prenatal to age 6). You will be the first point of contact, perform comprehensive assessments, and connect families to Help Me Grow and related services.

The position is located in Beaverton, Oregon with hourly pay between $22.86 and $25.15, depending on qualifications. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, and applicants should have strong intake skills,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in eligibility determination via phone and in-person intake.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and data entry with high accuracy.
• Compassionate, trauma-informed approach with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and diverse populations.
• Collaboration with other professionals and agencies.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain Oregon ONE Eligibility training, Healthy Families Oregon training, Find Child Care Oregon referral training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews (phone, virtual, or in-person) with Washington County households.
• Connect families to Help Me Grow, Healthy Families, CARE, and Find Child Care Oregon.
• Assist with program screenings and applications in a trauma-informed manner.
• Provide care coordination, education, and advocacy on child development and quality childcare.
• Allocate resources based on assessments and available community resources.
• Enroll individuals in the Oregon Health Plan.
• Maintain confidential records across databases.
• Build collaborations with service providers and diverse client populations.
