Job summary

Project Access, Inc. seeks a part-time Resident Services Associate to support multigenerational programming at the Family Resource Center in Alexandria, VA.

You will assist with after-school tutoring, plan activities, translate, and help recruit community partners, while building strong connections with residents.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in program development, flexible scheduling Tue-Fri 2pm–6pm and Sat 10am–2pm, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• High school diploma is required.
• One year experience in education, social services, or related nonprofit work.
• Demonstrates cultural competency and community awareness.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) & Outlook.
• Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Strong communicator with verbal and written skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Background check completed successfully.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds for supply distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Services Coordinator by linking residents with programs and services.
• Provide direct service for the After-School program: plan, organize, implement curriculum, monitor progress.
• Provide translation and interpretation services.
• Assist staff in creating community-building events.
• Assist with onsite classes, programs, tutoring, and other services.
• Outreach to residents to promote participation.
• Distribute a monthly newsletter and fliers for activities.
• Coordinate onsite activities and recruit new community partners.
• Maintain resident data reflecting service needs and referrals.
• Track resident attendance for programs and events.
