Project Access, Inc. is a community nonprofit providing programs and services to residents in affordable housing across the country.

The Resident Services Associate will support a Family Resource Center, helping design enrichment activities, coordinate tutoring, and build partnerships with community organizations. This entry-level role emphasizes youth development, cultural competency, and hands-on program planning within a multigenerational setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• One year experience in education, social services, or related nonprofit work.
• Experience serving diverse populations demonstrating cultural competency and community awareness.
• Intermediate skill level with MS Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) & Outlook.
• Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Strong communicator; high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and current automobile insurance.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds which may include large boxes of food for a supplemental food distribution program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Services Coordinator by linking residents to programs and referrals.
• Plan and implement curriculum for the After-School program; monitor participant progress.
• Provide translation and interpretation services.
• Help staff create community-building events.
• Assist with onsite classes, tutoring, and services.
• Outreach to residents to promote participation.
• Distribute monthly newsletters and flyers.
• Coordinate onsite activities and recruit community organizations.
• Maintain resident data reflecting service needs and referrals.
• Track attendance for programs and events.
