Job summary

Project Access in Harbor City, CA is seeking a part-time Resident Services Associate to support the After-School and family programs at Harbor Village Apartments. You will assist with curriculum design, coordinate activities, and help connect residents to services.

You will translate, help with onsite classes, and engage families in a welcoming, multigenerational community while developing enrichment activities and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• High school diploma is required.
• One year experience in education, social services, or related nonprofit work.
• Experience serving diverse populations demonstrating cultural competency and community awareness.
• Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) & Outlook.
• Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and current automobile insurance.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform related physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Services Coordinator in linking residents with programs and services.
• Provide direct service for the After-School program including planning and curriculum.
• Provide translation and interpretation services.
• Assist staff in the creation of community building events.
• Assist with the instruction of onsite classes, programs, tutoring, and other services.
• Outreach to residents to promote program participation.
• Distribute a monthly newsletter and flyers.
• Coordinate onsite activities and recruit community-based organizations.
• Maintain resident data reflecting service needs and surveys.
• Maintain resident attendance records.
