Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and at least one other language commonly spoken by students.
• Pass ParaPro Praxis and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Furnish proof of education from native country.

Responsibilities

• Interpret communications between the school and parents.
• Translate notes, forms, and letters to home language.
• Provide tutoring/instruction in all subject areas to English proficient students.
• Coordinate native language tutoring with ELAD and content teachers.
• Maintain classroom discipline and assist in creating a conducive learning environment.
• Attend workshops and meetings as requested by supervisor/ELAD Coordinator.
• Assist in record keeping and coordinating parent volunteer activities.
• Perform limited non-instructional duties as assigned by principal/ELAD Coordinator.
