Job summary

Universal Management Services seeks an experienced Regional Employee Relations Manager to lead relations initiatives across a diverse, geographically dispersed workforce in the United States. You will serve as advisor to leaders and employees, ensuring fair policy application and fostering a compliant, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with focus on employee relations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling complex employee relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee relations across multiple units and locations.
• Investigate employee complaints, workplace concerns, harassment allegations, policy violations, and other issues.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with local management to handle union grievances and coordinate local hearings.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Partner with leadership to ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies.
