CAP Northwest in Portland, OR seeks an Emergency Rent Assistance Specialist (Bilingual) to assist clients with short-term housing stability and financial support. The role includes completing applications, coordinating with landlords, and linking clients to supportive services.

The position is full-time, hybrid (3 days in office, 1 day remote), with starting pay of $51,160.51/year plus a bilingual differential; raises are based on tenure and union-negotiated pay scales.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with clients using a strengths-based approach.
• Complete emergency rental assistance applications with clients and negotiate payments.
• Collect documentation from landlords and clients.
• Make referrals to mental health, substance use, HIV prevention, or other partners as needed.
• Coordinate with medical case managers to support housing stability.
