Qualifications

• Must possess bilingual skills in speaking, listening, writing and interpreting.
• Two years of college-level study with 48 credits or 72 quarter credits, an Associate’s degree, or Praxis passing score.
• Must be highly qualified as paraprofessional staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain knowledge of district policies and procedures.
• Assist students individually or in groups with lessons in reading, math, writing, and language development.
• Provide translation support and communicate with parents as needed.
• Perform clerical and record-keeping tasks to support the classroom teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers, students, parents, and school personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Maintain accurate records for students in the instructional group.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences for translation support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Building Principal or designee.
• Work 5 hours at Henley Elementary School and 2 hours at HMS.
