Western Heights Public Schools seeks an Emergent Bilingual Paraprofessional to support English Language Learner students in both classroom and pull-out settings. The role includes translating materials, assisting with lesson planning, and monitoring state testing to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

• Parent contact: call parents of EB students, arrange conferences, and share progress and attendance information.
• In regular education: assist with translating documents, plan lessons for EB students, and support testing in small groups.
• State testing: monitor testing under supervision of school counselor.
• EB Classroom: assist EB teacher with daily lessons, translation, inclusion setting, and data collection.
• Professional development: help maintain a positive cultural learning environment and share information on language, diversity, and culture.
• Other performance measures: maintain safety, dress standards, attendance, creativity, and cooperative attitude.
