Job summary

Windsor Hills Elementary is seeking an ELD Bilingual Paraprofessional to provide language support and instructional assistance for English Learner students. You will translate between English and the home language, assist certified teachers, and participate in trainings to support EL success.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with options for further education (Associate degree or higher, or 48 credits) and ParaPro testing.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following:
• Associate degree or higher
• Completion of two years of study at an accredited institution (48 credits)
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
• Bilingual proficiency in English and the designated service language with strong oral and written communication

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more certified teachers by working with EL students in classroom or related learning environments.
• Provide language support by translating and interpreting between English and home language.
• Support instruction and participate in meetings, trainings, and professional learning.
• Follow directions accurately and maintain professional relationships with students and families.
• Perform routine clerical tasks related to classroom activities and translate communications for families.
