Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Indiana is seeking an Educator for La Jornada to maintain a positive educational environment and create a program that meets the cognitive and emotional needs of all our children. The successful candidate will work closely with Assistant Educators to ensure education, health, well-being and parental involvement services.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education, willingness to obtain TESL certification, 2+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or elementary education (required).
• Willingness to obtain TESL certification paid by NYAP.
• 2+ years in teaching capacity and lesson planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive educational environment.
• Create developmentally appropriate programs and weekly lesson plans.
• Assess children’s needs and adjust plans accordingly.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Educators to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety of all children in the program.
