Job summary

Mt. Hood Community College seeks a Preschool for All quality improvement specialist to implement observation and assessment practices in early childhood settings.

You will conduct observations, analyze data to support improvement, and coach staff toward reflective practice and goal setting. As a Trainer of Trainers (TOT), you will build internal capacity by training CCR&R staff, maintain documentation, and support calibration to ensure consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Step 10 on the Oregon Registry with relevant coursework.
• Minimum 3 years in early childhood education settings.
• Minimum 2 years conducting observations/assessments using quality improvement tools.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong verbal and written skills.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation to off-campus sites.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Conducts observations and assessments in PFA classrooms using quality improvement tools and shares findings with coaches.
• Manages scheduling for observations and assessments with providers.
• Serves as a Trainer of Trainers (TOT) for observation and assessment tools.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of observations, assessments, and trainings.
• Participates in calibration and professional development to ensure reliability of tools.
• Collaborates with management to address emerging needs within the PFA community.
