Job summary

Mt. Hood Community College seeks a qualified professional to support Preschool for All (PFA) quality improvement through observation and assessment practices in early childhood settings across multiple sites.

The role involves conducting observations, data analysis, and coaching support to inform reflective practice and goal setting. The position emphasizes trainer-led capacity building, collaboration with CCR&R staff, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Oregon Registry Step 10 with relevant coursework.
• English/Spanish bilingual required with strong communication skills.
• Experience with early childhood settings and quality improvement tools.
• Possession of/ability to obtain Oregon Registry Master Trainer Certification within 1 year.
• Must be able to travel to off-campus sites and occasionally attend evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observations and assessments in PFA classrooms using quality improvement tools.
• Analyze data and share findings with coaches to inform practice and goal setting.
• Coordinate scheduling for observations and communicate with providers.
• Serve as Trainer of Trainers (TOT) for observation tools and build internal capacity.
• Maintain documentation of observations, assessments, and trainings.
• Engage in ongoing calibration and professional development to ensure tool reliability.
