Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development seeks an Interpreter for 5 hours per week to translate and interpret for families and staff across Head Start/Early Head Start contexts. Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly in English and a designated second language.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred and encouraged.
• Ability to work with families and children birth through age 5.
• Willingness to travel to various sites as needed and to drive safely.

Responsibilities

• Interprets for staff and non-English fluent parents at meetings.
• Interprets for staff and parents during therapy and case management.
• Translates newsletters and therapy documents for families and staff.
• Translates program documents including menus, recruitment materials, and posters.
• Assists during child find and enrollment with interpretation and translation.
• Interprets activities for families of enrolled children.
• Interprets classroom and therapy activities for non-English fluent children.
• Provides direct services to children, families, and staff in various settings.
• Meets essential functions safely, including health requirements and driving as needed.
