Job summary

Centro de la Familia in Utah is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support early childhood education under the Lead Teacher. You will help implement developmentally appropriate activities, assist with classroom routines, and engage with diverse families to support children’s growth.

The ideal candidate has a Preschool CDA or plans to obtain one soon, with CPR/First Aid and Food Handler permits. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred to support our multilingual community.

Qualifications

• CDA or plan to earn within 6 months required.
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler permits required.
• Willingness to work with children with special needs and limited English.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the classroom and supervising children indoors and outdoors.
• Support daily planning to promote children's growth and development.
• Communicate with parents and families in their preferred language.
• Assist with meals and snacks and collaborate with staff and volunteers.
• Step in as Teacher duties during temporary absences.
