Job summary

Centro de la Familia de Utah is seeking a Preschool Teacher to spark young minds and nurture creativity. You will implement an early childhood program aligned with developmental norms, collaborating with families to support children's growth. The role requires caring for daily needs and fostering inclusive, bilingual learning environments.

Starts beginning of August 2026 and works 9 months per year. AAS/AA in ECE or related field is required, with CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s permit within

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained within six months.
• Ability to work with children who have limited English proficiency.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom where children feel safe and excited to learn.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Head Start standards.
• Use play-based learning to build cognitive, social-emotional, language and physical skills.
• Support dual-language learners with language-rich experiences.
• Attend to daily care needs, including feeding, diapering, and hygiene with compassion.
• Observe and assess progress, using notes and screenings to tailor instruction.
• Collaborate with families through regular communication and conferences.
• Work with children with special needs to ensure inclusion and support.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessments, and health/safety records.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
