Job summary

JFR Staffing is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Supervisor in Union City, NJ to lead and mentor a team delivering high-quality IT support in an educational setting. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish.

You will guide ticket resolution, deploy and support Windows/Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and classroom technology, while ensuring excellent customer service for faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Desktop Support experience.
• 2+ years in IT team leadership or supervision.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
• Experience in a K-12 school, school district, college, or educational environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and desktop hardware.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT asset management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of Desktop Support Technicians.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily support requests to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide hands-on desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support when needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and end-user issues.
• Support Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and workstation deployments.
• Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements.
• Ensure IT support tickets are resolved within established service levels.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and IT assets.
• Partner with school administrators, faculty, and staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with IT projects, technology rollouts, and classroom technology support.
