The candidate should have a high school diploma, radiography certification, and state-ready Dental Assistant credentials, with CPR and nitrous oxide certifications preferred. Bilingual Spanish is required for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Radiography certification is required.
• Dental Assistant certification as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia monitoring certification preferred.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with excellent chair-side manner, prioritizing the patient.
• Take direction from the doctor and/or hygienist, assist with dental procedures and anticipate needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs of high quality.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment and operatory per guidelines.
• Maintain patient charts, log health history and transcribe notes.
• Educate patients and address questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors, hygienists and staff to deliver a great patient experience.
• Assist front office with scheduling follow-ups and tracking lab cases.
• Monitor dental supplies and order from approved formulary when asked.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA and BBP safety policies.
