Job summary

Christ Community Health Services in Jackson, TN is seeking a bilingual Registered Dental Assistant to provide chairside support to dentists and hygienists while ensuring efficient clinic operations. This role includes direct clinical tasks, expanded functions, patient education, and language-access support across multiple CCHS locations.

The RDA will perform radiographs, documentation, scheduling, and inventory management, with a focus on compassionate, culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Registered Dental Assistant program and expanded-functions education.
• Bilingual proficiency sufficient to provide accurate, culturally sensitive assistance to patients.
• One to two years of experience performing fundamental and expanded duties of a registered dental assistant as outlined by the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry.
• Experience completing dental radiographs and alginate impressions.
• Current registration to practice as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Tennessee.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance and manage moisture to maintain a clear operative field.
• Obtain diagnostic dental radiographs per safety standards.
• Assist with procedures, apply topical anesthetics, place matrices, and remove sutures as directed.
• Perform infection-control, charting, and administrative documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling and recall appointments.
• Manage inventory and coordinate maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Track laboratory cases and communicate with labs.
