Job summary

The Dental Assistant role supports dentists in direct patient care, sterilization, and inventory control while ensuring infection control and efficient clinic operations.

The position involves chairside assisting under supervision, completing radiographs, and performing front office duties as needed, with emphasis on patient communication and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited dental assisting courses required.
• Radiation Safety Certificate required.
• Coronal Polish certificate required by Jan 1, 2025.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with four-handed dentistry and patient care.
• Prepare procedures and equipment per department protocols.
• Complete digital radiographs and intraoral photos.
• Maintain infection control and disposal per regulations.
• Front office tasks: scheduling, insurance verification, billing.
• Support supervision by Dental Manager, Lead RDA or Lead Dentist.
