Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is hiring Customer Service Specialists at Store #5389 in Delmar, NY. You will assist wholesale and retail customers, determine needs, and present appropriate products while meeting sales goals.

You’ll resolve concerns promptly and maintain product quality and store standards. Ideal candidates are 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., fluent in English and Spanish, with reliable driving history and ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English; must read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have a rating of at least "meets expectations" on your most recent appraisal and completed HR Cloud eLearning courses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in line with policies.
• Follow and achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries, as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products and discuss options available to customers.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
