Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Medford, MA is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to assist wholesale and retail customers, determine needs, and recommend right paint solutions. You will handle in-store and phone inquiries, process transactions, and help achieve monthly sales goals.

The role requires English and Spanish communication, regular lifting up to 50 lbs, and availability for evenings and weekends. Health benefits, PTO, and other store perks are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have a rating of at least "meets expectations" on their last performance appraisal.
• Internal employees must have completed HR Cloud eLearning courses for their current role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in line with store policies.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and related records.
• Pull appropriate products from sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks; assist in deliveries as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
