Job summary

SouthernCarlson in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Bilingual Counter Sales Representative to join a fast-paced, customer-facing team. You will help customers find the right solutions, process quotes, and support daily branch operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years in construction supply, strong math and communication skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus, with daytime Monday–Friday hours and a growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in construction supply, building materials, or related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of fasteners, power tools, or pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong math skills with ability to calculate pricing and margins.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and phone support to customers by identifying needs and recommending the right products
• Build relationships with customers by delivering knowledgeable, high-energy service
• Proactively reach out to existing and potential customers to drive sales growth
• Prepare quotes and process orders accurately using ERP systems
• Stay up to date on product lines, vendor offerings, and construction industry trends
• Maintain showroom organization, stock levels, and promotional displays
• Coordinate with outside sales, service teams, and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction
