Job summary

Thompson Concrete is seeking a Recruiter to support the Recruiting and HR team by coordinating interviews, maintaining candidate communication, and supporting basic recruiting activities. The role requires organizing all phases of recruitment and onboarding and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

The position involves managing recruiting for the Foundations Lockbourne Ohio location, with daily travel to Columbus to maintain an excellent candidate experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manages all pre-employment processes such as offer letters, drug screens, and background checks, and new hire packets
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting and onboarding methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
• Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
• Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
• Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
• Assists with the interview process
• Collaborates with human resource staff and leadership during the offer process, identifying salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• 3+ years recruiting experience
• Valid driver's license or State ID

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull 50-pound loads at a time
• Must be able to ride in a car for long periods of time
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
