Job summary

Thompson Concrete is seeking a Recruiter to support the Recruiting and HR team by coordinating interviews, maintaining candidate communication, and supporting basic recruiting activities. The role requires organizing all phases of recruitment and onboarding and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

The position involves managing recruiting for the Foundations Lockbourne Ohio location, with daily travel to Columbus to maintain an excellent candidate experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years recruiting experience
• Valid driver’s license or State ID
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create sourcing strategies for multiple roles
• Proactive and independent with initiative

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interviews and maintain candidate communication throughout the process.
• Assist with job postings, advertisements, and screening of applications.
• Manage pre-employment steps: offers, drug screens, background checks, and new hire packets.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership during the offer process and salary discussions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Attend job fairs and recruit events to attract candidates.
