Job summary

Self-Help is seeking a Contact Center Specialist to join our mission-driven nonprofit financial organization. You will respond to member questions via phone, email, or online portal and assist with payments and transactions while cross-selling credit union products.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, strong communication, and proficient use of Word and Excel. Some travel to other locations may be needed, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 to 2 years of customer service experience in call center or retail operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proficiency with Word; Excel preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct member support: respond to questions via phone, email, or online portal and route to appropriate staff.
• Process home loan payments and related transactions via telephone and online tools.
• Cross-sell credit union products and services when appropriate.
• Assist with IRA accounts, loan products, and collections information as needed.
• Handle high-touch member inquiries and ensure follow-up and satisfaction.
• Online and mobile support: assist with forms requiring electronic signatures and portal inquiries.
• Other duties: manage call center coding protocols, travel to other locations for coverage or training, perform additional tasks as needed.
