Job summary

Project Access, Inc., based in Los Angeles, seeks a Bilingual Community Program Coordinator for Vista Angelina. This part-time, non-exempt role supports residents through four pillars: Economic Stability, Education for Youth & Families, Health & Wellness, and Community Building.

You will design and implement programs, conduct outreach, coordinate after-school activities, recruit volunteers, and connect residents with services.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience in community outreach, resident services, social services, education, youth programming, multifamily housing, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, engage residents, and conduct proactive outreach in a community-based setting.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take initiative in a role that requires independence, follow-through, and consistent resident engagement.
• Experience or comfort working with youth, families, older adults, and diverse populations.
• Commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for residents.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook); basic with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Salesforce, Concur.
• Physical activity involves minimal bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, and step climbing. Able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs across four pillars: Economic Stability, Education for Youth & Families, Health & Wellness, and Community Building.
• Conduct outreach and survey resident needs.
• Coordinate and oversee after-school and teen programs with homework assistance and enrichment activities.
• Independently plan, prepare, and facilitate resident-facing workshops and group sessions.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local providers to deliver services and workshops.
• Plan and facilitate community-building events that foster safe, meaningful relationships.
• Provide residents with information and referrals to access resources and services.
• Support food distribution needs including maintaining food bank partnerships.
• Develop relationships with property management and schedule regular communication sessions.
• Organize monthly outreach including door-to-door, digital, and on-site presence.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and interns.
