Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a full-time Recruiter to engage prospective high school and adult students and promote the college’s programs at area high schools and community events. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, travel between the main campuses and state-wide events, and collaboration with Admissions and Enrollment Management to support enrollment goals.

Evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Academic preparation and training in student personnel services, higher education or a related field.
• One year of experience in an admissions office or related area.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Inspires prospective students to begin the enrollment process and tracks applicants through enrollment.
• Manages a recruitment territory including area high schools, businesses and events; provides monthly enrollment funnel reports.
• Assists with advising new students and participates in New Student Advising Sessions; guides students on self-service registration and program choices.
• Enters prospect data into the student information system.
• Conducts outreach and education programs to promote the Enrollment Services division's mission.
• Works with the recruiting team to plan schedules and strategies to support college recruitment goals; assists with New Student Welcome each semester.
• Maintains data for periodic reports and supports ongoing projects for Enrollment Management.
• Works irregular hours including nights and weekends; may perform other duties as assigned.
