Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and related laws.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to keep information confidential and act with integrity.
• Two years of experience in collections and/or customer service; call center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the status of delinquent accounts.
• Notifies account holders and cosigners of delinquent status to initiate collection actions.
• Records payments made to customer accounts.
• Investigates disputed balances and corrects errors such as misapplied payments or over-payments.
• Identifies accounts needing additional contact for referral to third-party collectors.
• Ensures the security of customer files and delinquent account reports.
• Performs other related duties as required.
